Just
Giving
We have teamed up with Just Giving
to create a secure online donations facility specifically
for the Cobalt Appeal Fund Crack Cancer Campaign. If
you would like to make a donation to our Appeal quickly
and securely, click on the Donate Online button.
If you are thinking of taking part
in an event or organising one of your own, you can raise
money for us quickly and easily online with your own
personalised web page. It only takes minutes to add
your details and then family, friends and colleagues
whether around the corner, in Aberdeen or Australia,
will be able to support you by donating online with
a credit or debit card. How much easier to have no more
running around with sponsorship forms and then having
to run around again after the event to collect your
pledges. Click
here and you can start raising funds for the Cobalt
Appeal Fund or call us on 01242 535900 if you need some
help.
As UK charities are entitled
to 25% tax reclaim from the Inland Revenue on every
£1 donated by UK taxpayers – Just
Giving will automatically reclaim this
amount and pass it to us.

You
could donate tax-effectively through Payroll Giving
Donating directly from
your salary is a simple and tax-effective way to help
us to support cancer patients. For every £1 you
donate 22p (at 22% tax rate) which would normally go
to the taxman, will help fund our Crack Cancer Campaign.
For example:
Donate £10.00
a month from salary
actual difference to you is £7.80
From Jan 2005, your £10 donation will be worth
as much as £20 to us (courtesy of the Government
matching scheme) for the first six months of your donations.
What you need to
do:
Check with your payroll department
that your company offers the scheme, decide how much
you would like to give each pay day, then click here
and complete the Payroll Giving Form. Please print,
fill in the form and return it to the address provided
on the form.
To view the Payroll Giving Form, you need Adobe Reader,
or on the logo to download the latest version.

You
could leave a legacy in your Will
Legacies contribute in
a major way to our funds for helping local people with
cancer. It’s a great way of giving and it doesn’t
cost you anything now. Making a will is an opportunity
to look at your situation with regard to inheritance
tax.
